Product Description
Knife-type gate valves, also known as knife gate valves or knife-type slurry valves, were introduced to China in the 1980s. These valves have a wide range of applications, from coal mining in mines and power plants to slag discharge, and from urban sewage treatment to slurry transportation in cement and paper mills. They are also used in specialized pipelines in the food, sanitation, and pharmaceutical industries.
The ultra-thin design of the knife-type gate valve addresses many issues associated with traditional valves, such as ordinary gate valves, slab gate valves, ball valves, globe valves, regulating valves, and butterfly valves. Knife-type gate valves offer several advantages: they are compact, lightweight, have low flow resistance, do not accumulate slag, and are easy to install and disassemble. These benefits make them a superior choice over conventional valves, which often suffer from high flow resistance, large size, slag accumulation, and difficult installation and maintenance. Consequently, knife-type gate valves have increasingly replaced general-purpose cut-off and regulating gates in various applications.
